Hands wrapping a handcrafted solid brass spiritual idol carefully in clear bubble wrap

Relocating to a new home requires special care when packing delicate wooden frames, polished brass idols, and resin spiritual decor. Proper cushioning prevents surface scratches and breakage during transit.

Wrapping brass and wooden idols

1. Clean off surface dust with a dry soft cloth before packing. 2. Wrap each idol in 2 layers of unbleached tissue paper to protect lacquered surface finishes. 3. Add 3 layers of heavy-duty bubble wrap and secure edges with packing tape.

Box packing and moisture protection

  • Box Padding: Line the bottom of sturdy corrugated moving boxes with 5 cm of crumpled paper or foam peanuts.
  • Desiccant Packets: Place 2 silica gel packets inside moving boxes containing metal or wood decor to absorb humidity during transit.
  • Fragile Labeling: Clearly mark boxes with FRAGILE stickers on all four sides.
